Another trend that was seen on the catwalks and is now being worn by our favourite trendsetters is the peplum.
Peplum is the Greek word for tunic and describes a short overskirt that is often attached to a fitted jacket or to the actual skirt. This trend goes back to the 19th century.

There are two popular peplum styles. The first being flared which enhances the curve of the hips while the second is more fitting to the stomach and hips. Flared peplums are usually worn with skirts that are flared, while the fitted peplum is used with narrow or pencil skirts.
This is definitely not a trend that will suit everyone, in fact, it is one that is best worn on the catwalk or red carpet but we can still be in the know and enjoy it on those who have personal stylists to perfect the art of the peplum.
