From Box Braids to rumbling through old 90′s wear at a second hand clothing store… The 90′s have made a silent comeback.

DJ and part-time singer Solange Knowles has been seen rocking huge hair and ‘Poetic Justice’ inspired braids.
Rihanna has been spotted rocking the messy look with a bomber inspired jean jacket and 90′s inspired wayfarers.
Gwen Stefani was recently seen rocking the famous ‘Boxing Kitten’ brand known for its original African inspired print.
Do you dare to rock this trend??
Here are some tips and tricks on becoming a modern 90′s chick:
Coloured Skinnies
These can be paired up with a cute blazer in contrast to the colour of the skinny jean (e.g wearing orange skinnies with a pink top, what’s commonly reffered to as ‘colour blocking’).
Jean Jackets
A jean jacket is a must have piece to pair up with any bold patterned dress.
High waisted pants
These are also a must have piece which can be worn with either a cute bustier or a vintage inspired top with a bold edge.
90′s hair
Natural hair is always a DO when it comes to the 90′s look, try growing an afro from scratch using the Organic Olive Oil hair range and grow out an afro like Solange. Or you can do a chic and sassy Boxcut or try Box Braids which are easy to do and enable hair growth over time!
Going to the hospice
Sometimes second hand clothes are a must have in a 90′s inspired girls closet, go out there and find yourselves some vintage pieces which are easy to match up with modern inspired pieces.
Attitude is key
Because no-one ever got noticed for not having confidence in what they’re wearing.

I’m absolutely loving the return of the 90′s. I’ve already got my Poetic Justice braids hooked up and recently scored a cool pair of high-wasted yellow pants. Yay!!!
@Bongiwe got my box braids too!!

(Lets just hope this trend doesn’t become too commercial though
